Capital City Millwork’s owner-designed and owner-built two level showrooms are located at our new Brooksedge Corporate Park home. The showroom with Midwestern barn framing elements showcases Colonial, Georgian, Victorian, Prairie, Art Deco, and Arts and Crafts styles in individual “stalls.” The stalls show applications of millwork in “room”settings and mirror what is held in the warehouse - eight species of high-grade wood in hundreds of molding profiles.
First floor showroom bins hold millwork sample products in five species for customers to try before purchasing. Locks and entry items, kitchen cabinet pulls and knobs, bathroom fixtures and a complete line of architectural hardware are alongside millwork samples to aid the selection process. Informational literature is also located by each product.
The room’s upper level was built to allow more showcasing of architectural millwork in stall areas and is reached by a hand-built maple staircase. Stair parts and architectural wood flooring are also found on the second level. A multi-level design approach produced an open feeling, maximized space and prohibited a sprawling show room.
Everything from crown molding to doors to hardware are numbered and labeled according to Capital City’s product identification system. Menu boards guide the user to products and their numbers, a system that helps ensure the order is correctly executed in the showroom and the warehouse.
High-end products that are effectively displayed, neatly arranged and organized, making selection quick and easy conveys the quality-driven, efficiency and straightforward image of Capital City Millwork.
Our showroom is open to the public.
